JR East will launch the “JR TOKYO Wide Pass” for tourists visiting Japan from November 19, 2015. This new pass will replace the existing “JR Kanto Area Pass” that provides unlimited access to reserved seating on limited express trains and shinkansen (bullet-trains) within the Kanto area for a three-day period.
The “JR TOKYO Wide Pass” has the added benefits of providing access to the Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit Rinkai Line as well as Echigo-Yuzawa Station and GALA Yuzawa Station which are popular with overseas tourists. So now tourists can enjoy a visit to Odaiba and Japanese snow resorts as well as the popular attractions of Mt Fuji, Karuizawa and Nikko.

Unlimited use of the ordinary car reserved seating on limited express (including shinkansen), express and local trains operating on all sections of the JR East lines, Fujikyu Railway, Izu Kyuko Line, Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit Rinkai Line, Tokyo Monorail, Joshin Dentetsu Line and the Saitama New Urban Transit Line (New Shuttle) between Omiya and Tetsudo-Hakubutsukan, within the free usage area. Also valid for unlimited Ordinary Car reserved seating on the limited express trains that run directly between JR East Lines and Tobu Railway lines including “Nikko”, “Spacia Nikko”, “Kinugawa” and “Spacia Kinugawa”, etc.
