Partners Information: The avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama has been a leading light in the art scene worldwide for years now.
Her messages of world peace and eternal love shine through her art works. Though she is perhaps most famous for her spotted “Pumpkin” on Naoshima Island, she was actually born in Matsumoto City.
This year, experience Kusama’s spectacular art universe in her birthplace, and visit the special exhibition “All About My Love” at Matsumoto City Museum of Art.
Possessing an unprecedented talent, Yayoi Kusama is an artist worthy to be called a genius. Yet, her achievements have never been easier to obtain.
What made her leave her hometown in about sixty years ago? What was in her mind at that time; agony, distress or perhaps, hope?
Setting Kusama’s latest series of work “My Eternal Soul” as a main theme, holding this exhibition in her birthplace, Matsumoto City, visitors can appreciate more of Kusama’s art world.
