Summer at Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo Disney Resort will offer special events and programs at Tokyo Disneyland® Park, Tokyo DisneySea® Park, the Disney Hotels and other locations this summer, 11 July to 31 August 2017.

Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo DisneySea will hold “Disney Pirates Summer” for the first time. Themed to the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, guests can enjoy an exciting show and programs like never before.

Pirates Summer Battle ‘Get Wet!’

Location: Mediterranean Harbor

This show features Jack Sparrow and a crew of pirates led by Captain Barbossa. Captain Barbossa takes control of Mediterranean Harbor’s Porto Paradiso with his crew and trains guests to become pirates too. Captain Jack Sparrow will appear for a showdown on the Black Pearl, with tons of water shooting out at guests.

Pirates Cantina Fiesta

Location: Lost River Delta

Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina, the Park’s Mexican restaurant will offer special pirate-motif menu items and merchandise. Atmosphere entertainment presented by pirates will enhance the swashbuckling mood of the event.

Steps to Shine

Location: Dockside Stage, American Waterfront

This new show will introduce StellaLou, Duffy’s new friend whom he met on his travels with Mickey Mouse.

Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland will host “Disney Natsu Matsuri” (Summer Festival), putting the Disney spin on the traditional Japanese summer festival.

Sansui! Summer Beat

Location: Plaza area, including the Cinderella Castle Forecourt

This new entertainment program will feature Mickey Mouse and his Disney Friends playing Japanese musical instruments to Japanese arrangements of popular Disney songs. Guests can clap along as water sprays out from the floats, making the event even more exciting. Festival stalls will be set up to recreate the ambience of a real Japanese summer festival selling a variety of merchandise items, food, decorations and more.

Electrical Parade Dreamlights

Location: Parade Route

The updated version of the ever-popular nighttime parade Dreamlights will feature five new floats and LED lighting to enhance the sparkle. Anna and Elsa from Frozen will appear in the parade for the first time on a float designed like the icy castle from the hit film. A float inspired by Beauty and the Beast will also make a comeback.

A special program will be held in Adventureland, linked to the newest Disney film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, scheduled to be released in Japan on 1 July.

Other programs for summer will be offered at the Disney hotels, the Disney Resort Line and Ikspiari. Summer at Tokyo Disney Resort will offer a wide variety of memorable experiences for all.
